Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg reportedly entered an Oval Office meeting when US President Donald Trump was holding a crucial meeting with top defence officials in December last year. This prompted officials to leave the place, NBC News reported, citing two people familiar with the matter. As per the report, the US President was holding a meeting about the futuristic F-47 stealth fighter jet when Zuckerberg walked in "unexpectedly" with no security clearance.
However, a senior White House official rejected the report and told The Post that the report had "mischaracterised" the situation. “He was not asked to leave,” the official said. “He popped in to say hello at the president’s request, and then left to wait for his meeting with POTUS to begin, which was scheduled to occur after the meeting with the pilots.”

Trump-Zuckerberg bitter relations
Notably, the relations between Trump and Zuckerberg dwindled during his first term as the US President. He was considered the most "unlikeable" Big Tech CEO, with 63 per cent of Trump voters stating they had an unfavourable view of him, New York Post quoted a survey conducted by the watchdog group Tech Oversight Project and Public Policy Polling. However, after anticipating the return of the Republican leader to the White House, Meta CEO reportedly changed his mind and initiated a patch-up.

How did Zuckerberg favour Trump administration?
Later in March, Facebook also scrapped its US fact-checking program and reduced curbs on discussions around contentious topics such as immigration and gender identity, bowing to criticism from conservatives. The US tech giant said it is ending its diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, including those for hiring, training and picking suppliers, in a memo to its employees. Besides, multiple media outlets reported a huge fund donation from Zuckerberg to the Republican leader before the US elections.
