A metallic sphere discovered in Colombia is continuing to fuel global UFO speculation, as new claims from scientists suggest the object may possess properties beyond current human technology. The object was first sighted zig-zagging through the sky above the town of Buga on March 2, exhibiting aerial movements that defy the known capabilities of conventional aircraft.

According to researchers from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the orb-shaped object reportedly caused a peculiar environmental effect. They said it wasn't radiation but an invisible form of energy that "sucked the water" from grass and soil, rendering the land beneath it dead and barren. They speculated that anions, negatively charged particles in the air, may be responsible for the unusual effect.

Dr Julia Mossbridge, a physicist at the University of San Diego and founder of The Institute for Love and Time (TILT), is skeptical. She dismissed the UFO's authenticity, calling it "a really cool art project" and urging the public not to leap to extraterrestrial conclusions. “Regardless of its origin, it reminds us how little we understand our surroundings,” she said in a Fox News Digital interview.

Examining The Sphere

The metallic sphere has since been the subject of in-depth testing by several experts, including Dr. Jose Luis Velazquez, a radiologist hired by famed UFO investigator Jaime Maussan. Velazquez stated that the sphere is made from a single seamless piece of material with no visible welds or joints, features typically associated with advanced or non-human manufacturing. He also discovered 16 internal microspheres arranged symmetrically around a central nucleus.

Rodolfo Garrido, an engineer on the investigative team, made more startling claims on Colombian television. He asserted that the object now weighs five times more than it did upon impact, suggesting it manipulated gravitational forces to lighten itself for flight. Garrido also said the sphere generates its own electromagnetic field, assisting its levitation.

Power Cable Theory And Crash

The viral videos that showed the sphere falling to Earth were explained by Garrido as the result of the object hitting a power cable mid-flight, which he believes destabilised its anti-gravity function. That mishap, he claims, was the only reason the object stopped flying.

Despite the sensational nature of these claims, the debate remains far from settled. While some experts hail the sphere as evidence of unknown or possibly alien technology, skeptics insist it’s more likely a man-made object shrouded in mystery. For now, the metallic sphere from Buga continues to stir imagination, caution, and curiosity in equal measure.
