After days of denial ang covering, Pakistan Army late on Sunday night finally admitted that at least one of its aircraft suffered "minor damage" in the military confrontation with the Indian Air Force. But Pakistan refrained from providing additional details about the jet.
On Saturday, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry held a press conference. He said that purpose of briefing was to apprise about the conduct and conclusion of “Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos”.
He admitted that "only one aircraft" of Pakistan suffered “minor damage”, without providing details about the aircraft.
The pressure from Pakistan came after Indian DGMOs held a presser on Saturday evening with the Air Marshal and Vice Admiral of the Navy. During the press conference, Air Marshal AK Bharti said that several Pakistani jets were downed, but since they were not allowed to enter Indian airspace, their wreckage is in Pakistan.
He said that the only question that was of concern was whether India achieved its objective or not. Further confirming that India achieved its objectives with utmost accuracy, and all Indian pilots are safe back home.

Pakistan's DG ISPR also confirmed in the presser that no Indian pilot was in Pakistani custody, busting the entire fake narrative which Pakistan tried to build during the escalation.
He, in fact, ascertained such claims to be 'social media fake news.' During the escalation, the DG ISPR had claimed that India launched six missiles, out of which five fell in Indian territory while one landed in Afghanistan.
The claim was busted by Colonel Sofiya Qureshi in a press briefing. Such false and misleading claims coming from the top Pakistani military leadership had raised questions on the credibility of their claims.
On Saturday, India and Pakistan reached a consensus on not climbing escalation ladder further after the Indian DGMO received a call from his Pakistani counterpart with a request for a ceasefire. While Pakistan has called it a ceasefire, India has called it an understanding and has said that the operations against terrorists and terrorism continue.
