Former Pakistani ambassador Sherry Rehman fiercely contested the truth during a live TV interview where the host exposed the truth over how Pakistan harbours terrorist groups, sparked by questions about the recent Pahalgam attack. While appearing on popular Sky News' "The World With Yalda Hakim" show, Rehman turned furious when pressed about Brigade 313, an Al Qaeda-linked umbrella organisation identified by the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium (TRAC) as active in Pakistan, Rehman dismissed the claims.
A veteran journalist and diplomat, Rehman served as Pakistan’s ambassador to the US from 2011 to 2013 and made history as the first woman to lead the opposition in Pakistan’s Senate.
What is Brigade 313? Is it Al Qaeda in Pakistan?

"Who’s feeding you this? I can churn out endless pages refuting it," she said, proposing a "digital dossier" to challenge the accusations. She diverted to India’s internal strife, questioning, "Are we to blame for all 100 insurgencies in India?"
"Children aren’t leaders": Pakistan ex-diplomat
The interviewer, Yalda Hakim, cited “Operation Sindoor,” which struck nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) after the Pahalgam attack. The UN-designated terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) confirmed the death of its top commander, Masood Asghar, and ten family members in Bahawalpur during the strikes.
Notably, when India launched a powerful attack on Pakistan terror hideouts, Pakistan admitted Maulana Masood Azhar's 10 members of his family and four close associates were killed in India's missile attack on the outfit's headquarters in Bahawalpur. A statement attributed to Azhar said those killed in the attack on Jamia Masjid Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur included the JeM chief's elder sister and her husband, a nephew and his wife, another niece, and five children from his extended family. The statement further mentioned that the attack also claimed the lives of one of Azhar’s close associates and his mother, along with two other close companions.
Rehman’s retort, "Children aren’t leaders," sidestepped the issue, while she cast doubt on the credibility of international analysts. "Most of these so-called experts push India’s narrative, telling only its side," she argued, rejecting Brigade 313’s Al Qaeda ties.
The group was linked to 2010 Pune bombing case wen Al Qaeda claimed the attack on a German bakery, killing 16, with Brigade 313 implicated.
