In a high-profile session at the UN, India directly rebutted Pakistan's allegations on Jammu and Kashmir and presented its own development successes. Asserting his government's record, MP PP Chaudhary directly confronted Islamabad's allegations as "baseless" and blamed Pakistan for exploiting UN platforms to deflect the attention of the international community from its domestic governance shortcomings.

Chaudhary pointed out Pakistan's routine abuse of international forums to the effect that the nation's leadership repeatedly sidetracks focus from internal crises, such as falsified elections, imprisonment of opposition leadership, forceful crackdown of protests, and assault on its own citizens. He quoted an honest remark by Pakistan's Army Chief, referring to the country as a "dump truck," as evidence of deep-rooted bureaucratic corruption.

"Pakistan has in the past been prone to misusing global forums for spreading lies and propaganda," Chaudhary claimed, pointing out how such an action is reflective of the country's ongoing political and administrative existential crisis.

Stressing India's Developmental Successes

Shining a light on India's success, Chaudhary highlighted the nation's progress in financial and social inclusion. He pointed out that more than 250 million people have been removed from multidimensional poverty over the last ten years, and almost 800 million citizens are covered by the Public Distribution System. Social security has penetrated more than 60 per cent of the population.

Chaudhary also stressed India's technology-based initiatives, such as UPI, Direct Benefit Transfers worth USD 512 billion, and digital platforms like the Meri Panchayat App, which received the WSIS 2025 Champion Award for empowering 265,000 village councils. Programs focused on youth like MY Bharat, Skill India, PM-NAPS, and YUVAi AI skilling, were quoted as exemplifying India's focus on empowering its youth and fostering inclusive growth.

Reaffirming Jammu & Kashmir As Part Of India

In a firm rebuttal to Pakistan, Chaudhary reaffirmed that Jammu and Kashmir is an “integral and inalienable part of India.” He criticised Islamabad for using the UN to advance narrow political goals while failing to address its domestic crises.
