Saifullah Kasuri, the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) deputy chief and the suspected mastermind of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, has emerged publicly in Pakistan again. In an undated video that has been widely distributed online, at a controversial political rally, Kasuri shared the stage with wanted terrorists like Talha Saeed, Hafiz Saeed's son and UN-designated terrorist along with Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML) leaders. The rally, staged on the occasion of Youm-e-Takbeer, Pakistan's national nuclear test day—was riddled with inciting speeches, anti-Indian sloganeering and rhetoric.
Kasuri, alias Saifullah Khalid, has been accused of masterminding the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 26 civilians, including a Nepali national, who were shot when they were asked to declare their religion. In that video, Kasuri is heard speaking to the crowd, claiming, "I was blamed as being the mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack, now my name is famous in the entire world.""We are not going to be scared by bullet shots and firing, and we aspire to die as martyrs," he further added.

Alert : Lengthy 20 min hate speech
After going into hiding for several days following #OperationSindoor , Lashkar-E-Tayiba Deputy Chief Saifullah Kasuri asserts that India wrongfully implicated him in the Pahalgam attack. He even goes so far as to say that… pic.twitter.com/QTWafflJ2l
Hafeez Saeed's Son Also Speaks at Rally
Talha Saeed, who lost the Pakistan 2024 general elections in Lahore's NA-122 constituency, gave a speech laced with "Naara-e-Takbeer" and anti-national slogans. Intelligence authorities think that his ongoing involvement with the PMML shows LeT's increasing power through political fronts. The PMML has also become more outspoken, holding anti-India rallies in major cities such as Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Faisalabad, calling for Hafiz Saeed's release and blaming India for "water aggression" regarding the Indus Waters Treaty. Not only that, Khalid intends to construct terror infrastructure, hospital, road, and a so-called "martyrs' centre" in Allahabad, Kasur (Pakistan), in honor of Mudassir Shaheed, a LeT leader who was killed in India's reprisal Operation Sindoor. The complex will be used to recruit and radicalise Bangladeshi youth, the source added as reported by News18.
Khalid's address at the rally is complete layout for regional destabilisation, and his particular attention to India and Bangladesh. He had described Bangladesh as a country where Muslims are "oppressed" and preached jihad against Hindus and the Indian state. Khalid openly patronised Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) in his address, indicating greater coordination between the LeT and Bangladesh terror groups. Arrests of JMB handlers in Pakistan have confirmed ongoing training and funding facilitated by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
India Condemns Pakistan's Terror Nexus
India has strongly condemned Pakistan for allowing wanted terrorists to mainstream themselves politically. After the Pahalgam massacre, India initiated Operation Sindoor, a series of targeted attacks that neutralized high-profile terror handlers such as Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Rauf, and Mudassir Ahmad who are alleged in top terror operations, including the IC-814 hijacking and Pulwama bombing.
