A controversial video circulating on social media has sparked heated debates across Europe after a man, who claimed to be a Pakistani migrant, warned a Danish man that natives in Denmark would soon be “exterminated” due to demographic changes. The footage shows the migrant boasting about higher immigrant birth rates, saying, “We shall stay sitting on your hearts for the rest of our lives, man. We have got 5 children and you have only 1 or 2. In the next 10–15 years, there will be more Pakistanis than Danes in this country.”
The man went further, citing other Nordic countries as examples, declaring, “Danes are just 5 million and soon you will be exterminated. Look at the Swedes, look at the Norwegians, look at Finnish. We are in millions…” Another individual in the video, also claiming to be Pakistani, added, “I got married and I am also having 5 kids tomorrow. So, go and give birth to more children, man.”
The clip, shared widely on X, quickly drew international attention. Among those weighing in was Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, whose brief but pointed reaction intensified the debate. Commenting on the post, Musk wrote, “His math is correct.”

Musk’s Demographic Concerns
Musk’s remark may have been short, but it aligned with his long-standing warnings about falling birth rates. For years, the billionaire has argued that population collapse, not overpopulation, is the real existential threat to civilisation.
“Most people still think the world is overpopulated. It’s actually the opposite,” Musk has previously said, pointing to ageing populations and shrinking family sizes in developed nations. Countries such as Japan, South Korea, Italy, and parts of Eastern Europe have been struggling with rapid demographic decline, which Musk warns could lead to economic stagnation and labour shortages.
Japan At Forefront Of Population Decline
Recently, Musk highlighted Japan as a stark example. In a post on X, he wrote: “Japan will lose almost a million people this year.” He added that this trend was set in motion decades ago and “has nothing to do with AI.” Instead, Musk suggested that artificial intelligence and robotics might be the only tools capable of offsetting future labour gaps created by declining populations.
His comments dovetail with ongoing discussions in Europe about immigration, integration, and pro-natalist policies designed to encourage native populations to have more children.
