Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his UK Counterpart Keir Starmer recently bonded over tea during a session of 'chai pe charcha' at Chequers, the official country residence of the British Prime Minister. During the meet, an Indian ‘chaiwala’ named Akhil Patel caught everybody’s attention when he offered both leaders his signature masala chai. In the video, which is now viral on social media, Akhil wittily says from ‘one chaiwala to another’ while pouring a cup of hot tea for PM Modi.
PM Modi just wrapped up the UK leg of his two-nation tour and is currently on a state visit to Maldives from July 25-26.
Akhil also shared secrets about his freshly brewed 'masala chai' during his interaction with the two leaders. On this, PM Modi looks at Starmer and says "you get the taste of India."
