In a strange twist, British YouTuber Lord Miles has said that he plans to go to Pakistan to get back his pilfered Apple AirPods Pro, which he alleges were stolen from his Dubai hotel room more than a year ago. The YouTube sensation, famous for his contentious globe-trotting escapades and having over 172,000 subscribers on the video-sharing platform, turned to social networking site X (formerly known as Twitter) to give fans an update about the latest installment of his years-long AirPods saga. "My AirPod Pros have been missing for a year in Pakistan, and guess who's traveling there next week to reclaim his property!" he tweeted, accompanied by a screenshot indicating where the device is currently being tracked in Pakistan.

AirPods Stolen in Dubai, Tracked In Pakistan

Lord Miles said that the AirPods Pro had purportedly been stolen from his hotel room during a trip to Dubai. He used Apple's Lost Mode, which has subsequently enabled him to track the device's movements. Months of nothing happened, then the AirPods reportedly reappeared, pinging a location in Jhelum, Pakistan. “They got stolen from my hotel in Dubai and made their way to Pakistan. I enabled Lost Mode and keep playing the ‘find me’ noise when he’s using the AirPods,” he said in another post. “I’m going to get a police officer and storm the area, get back my AirPods, and film it all. Don’t like thieves!”

Miles' uploads have since become viral, receiving both acclaim and criticism from netizens. Some commended the dedication to justice, while others questioned its practicality. "So you're going to splurge more on the ticket alone… for AirPods, you could just procure for 2% of the amount?" one asked. Another commented, "Wouldn't it be simpler and, I would imagine, less expensive, to just purchase a new set? It included an AI-produced picture of Liam Neeson, parodying his famous role in the movie Taken, with the message, "My AirPods were TAKEN! I will find you."

While some followers found the stunt amusing, others raised serious safety concerns, especially after it was revealed the AirPods were last located in Jhelum, a city in northern Pakistan. Some commenters mentioned alleged reports of radiation leaks near the Kirana Hills and other unverified claims linking the area to the dark web. Others took a political jab, with one user suggesting, “You could wait till it’s a part of India. It will be much easier to get them then.” Some went as far as to issue travel warnings. “Get ample insurance before leaving for Pakistan. And gallons of water too. They don’t have any left now,” one post read.
