In a revelation that has reignited debates about unidentified underwater phenomena, Republican Representative Tim Burchett claimed in an interview Wednesday that an unidentified craft, described as being as large as a football field, was observed moving at incredible speeds underwater. The Tennessee congressman, known for his outspoken views on UFOs and government secrecy, shared details of this encounter, reportedly described to him by an unnamed admiral.
“They tell me something’s moving at hundreds of miles an hour underwater... as large as a football field,” Burchett told former Republican congressman Matt Gaetz during their discussion. While the congressman clarified he hadn’t been officially briefed on the matter, he suggested the case was well-documented, leaving him baffled by the lack of public acknowledgement.
Burchett’s description of the incident highlighted the sheer technological gap between the observed craft and current human capabilities. “Our capabilities—I don’t think we have anything that’ll do 40 miles an hour underwater,” he remarked.
The idea of a massive, high-speed underwater craft raises questions about whether it could be a product of advanced extraterrestrial technology or an undisclosed human innovation. For Burchett, who has long claimed that the US government is concealing evidence of UFOs and alien activity, this is another piece of the puzzle pointing to the existence of extraordinary phenomena.
Burchett also touched on the possibility of classified US technologies, mentioning “secret sonar” systems that could have tracked the craft. However, he expressed scepticism about the government’s ability to maintain secrecy, citing China’s involvement in supplying components for these systems. “The Chinese sold us the components for it. They know what’s in our sonar probably better than we do,” he said, hinting at vulnerabilities in US defence systems.
What Does This Mean For UFO Research?
The account adds to a growing body of claims about unidentified submerged objects (USOs), a lesser-known counterpart to UFOs that operate underwater. Such reports have fueled curiosity among scientists, researchers, and enthusiasts who believe the ocean’s depths may hold clues to alien activity.
Burchett’s claims, while unverified, underscore the need for transparency in government investigations into unidentified phenomena. In his words, “The vastness of God’s great universe” suggests that anything is possible. Whether this craft is evidence of extraterrestrial life or advanced technology remains a mystery—but one that continues to captivate the imagination of people worldwide.
