The United States has deported Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Anmol is a wanted accused in a string of violent crimes, including the murder of Baba Siddiqui and the 2022 killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala.
The US Department of Homeland Security confirmed the expulsion in an email to Zeeshan Siddiqui, the son of the murdered Baba Siddiqui, as reported by NDTV. "This email is to inform you ANMOL BISHNOI has been removed from the United States by the federal government. The offender was removed on November 18, 2025," the communication stated. Bishnoi is expected to land in India on November 19.
"My e-mail had been registered with the US authorities since I am from the victim's family. This morning, I received an email saying that Bishnoi has been removed from the US," Zeeshan told The Indian Express.
A Long-Awaited Arrest
Anmol Bishnoi, considered a primary conspirator and operational head of the Bishnoi gang from abroad, was arrested by US authorities in November 2024 on charges of illegal entry. Following his arrest, India initiated an extradition process after a Maharashtra court issued a non-bailable warrant against him. The Interpol had also issued a Red Corner Notice for his arrest. His deportation is a major breakthrough for Indian agencies, who have been pursuing him for years.

A Trail of Violence
Anmol Bishnoi is wanted as a key conspirator in the October 2024 murder of Congress leader Baba Siddiqui. The Mumbai Police Crime Branch has named him as the mastermind and has recovered voice clips, allegedly of Anmol, giving instructions for the crime.
He is also accused of providing weapons and logistical support in the May 2022 murder of popular singer Sidhu Moosewala. Furthermore, he is a wanted accused in the shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's home in April 2024.
According to chargesheets filed by the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai Police, Anmol Bishnoi’s role was "operational and directional," allegedly communicating with shooters and gang members from abroad via secure apps. Evidence presented in court, including audio chat transcripts, shows Anmol instructing the main shooter, Vicky Gupta, to fire in a manner that would "scare" Salman Khan, establishing the attack as a planned act of criminal intimidation.
