One woman was killed and another was gravely injured in a vicious knife attack that allegedly involved a criminology student in the United Kingdom. A 20-year-old Nasen Saadi, according to the prosecutors, executed the crime to feel what it was like to kill someone.
Media reports state that the fatal event happened in May on Bournemouth's Durley Chine Beach. The victims, Leanne Miles (38), and Amie Gray (34), were sitting on the sand by a fire and conversing beneath the full moon. According to reports, Saadi suddenly came over and attacked viciously. Ms Miles was injured about 20 times but survived, while Ms Gray was stabbed 10 times, including a brutal blow to her heart.
Sarah Jones KC, the prosecutor, called the attack "horrifying in its savagery." She informed the Winchester Crown Court jury that Saadi seemed to act in order to gain attention, intimidation, or dominance.
"Perhaps he thought it would make him feel powerful, make him interesting to others," she said.
The prosecution claims that Saadi began planning the attack in April and looked at potential sites before deciding on Bournemouth. He allegedly chased the victims as they attempted to flee on the night of the stabbings, leaving them bleeding on the beach while he vanished into the night.
Later, police found blades concealed between a wardrobe and a wall, as well as in Saadi's bedside drawer. The young guy has denied any involvement in the attacks, although he acknowledged that he was in Bournemouth at the time and that he was interested in true crime.
According to reports, he would also ask professors about self-defense for murder and the duration of DNA retention.
The prosecution revealed that Saadi conducted online research on several knives, which he eventually acquired, as well as investigating Brianna Ghey's murder and the identity of her killers.
