United States President Donald Trump’s comment has once again sparked discussion online. However, this time it is not his mockery of world leaders or blatant warning to Iran. It is related to “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS), a term often used by his supporters to describe strong criticism of him.

White House Shares Treatment Plan For 'TDS

During a recent Oval Office event focused on new maternal health initiatives, Trump spoke about this “syndrome,” calling it an actual disease. He said, “They’ve got serious Trump Derangement Syndrome, which is actually a disease. I’m hearing it is actually a disease. It’s an honour.” His Special Assistant and Communications Advisor Margo Martin also shared a video of the moment on X. However, the discussion started online after the White House shared a social media post jokingly offering “treatments” for the so-called condition.

Netizens Mock White House's Plan

The White House posted a picture designed like a medical prescription and wrote, “Send to someone who needs.” The listed “treatments” included: “Trusting in Trump,” “Listening to national anthem,” “Limit fake news,” and “Don’t be a panican.” However, the post triggered a wave of funny reactions online. Many users responded by making edited versions of the prescription and joking about its design and wording.

One user wrote, “Why would the diagnosis be in the patient info section? You can't even meme right.” Another wrote, “We demand to see the Epstein files, and Trump sends this dumb prescription as a way to cover up his past. No thanks.” Another user commented, “Trump Derangement Syndrome? The only derangement is a country that elected a convicted felon, sexual abuser and pathological liar... twice... while he threatens Iran with war, guts healthcare & cosplays as a strongman.”

What Is TDS?

“Trump Derangement Syndrome” is not a real medical condition. It is a political term created by Trump supporters and MAGA-aligned media figures to describe what they see as extreme or irrational criticism of Trump. The term had become controversial in 2025 when Minnesota Senate Republicans proposed a bill to classify “Trump Derangement Syndrome” as a mental illness.
