Hyundai Motor India has entered the new year with a bang as it has launched the highly-anticipated Creta SUV facelift for the Indian market today, on January 16. The Hyundai Creta has been a segment leader in the mid-size SUV segment since its inception in 2015. The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift has been launched with a new exterior design, revamped interiors and a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine apart from the existing engine options.

As we reported earlier, Hyundai India might be working on introducing an N Line model of the new Creta facelift. The Korean manufacturer currently retails two N Line models in India - the i20 N Line and the Venue N Line. Hyundai India has announced these N Line models have experienced substantial sales success, with the company achieving a total sales figure surpassing 10,000 units in 2023. In response to the growing demand for these models, Hyundai India is now gearing up to introduce additional N Line models in the country.

Hyundai Creta N Line

The introduction of the new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine further suggests that the automaker might be working on a Hyundai Creta N Line variant. The new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine introduced with the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is capable of producing a power output of 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque. Along with this new engine, the Creta N Line is expected to be equipped with a sportier suspension setup, a more dynamic-sounding exhaust and improved steering dynamics to align it with other Hyundai N Line models.

Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai India spoke about the upcoming N Line models in the country, he said, “N Line is a very niche product and we are happy with the numbers it has got us. In fact, there will be more N Line products that we will launch in India very soon and we are expecting sales to reach 15,000-20,000 units in the next few years.” There has been no confirmation on what the next N Line model will be but it is expected that Hyundai India will expand its portfolio with a Creta N Line variant which is expected to be launched later this year.
