2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R Unveiled With MotoGP-Derived Tech, 236BHP And More

Ducati Panigale V4 R Price: Ducati has unveiled the 2026 Panigale V4 R sports bike, following the launch of the 2025 Panigale V4 in India in March 2025. The new Panigale V4 is the top-end variant joining the Panigale V4 line-up, combining MotoGP technology with top-notch electronics and hardware components. The engine, which is the bike's heart, is a 998cc Desmosedici Stradale R unit designed to compete in the World Superbike Championship.

2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R: Engine Output, Gearbox

Developed in line with Ducati Corse's MotoGP philosophy, the Desmosedici Stradale R engine is tuned to produce 215bhp at 15,750rpm and 114.5Nm at 12,000rpm. According to Ducati, the new Panigale V4 R offers a 16,000rpm redline in most gears, with the sixth gear capable of reaching 16,500rpm. This is the courtesy of lighter pistons and a new crankshaft, among other things.

With the use of a track-only exhaust system developed in collaboration with Akrapovic, the power output figure rises to 232bhp. For the maximum power from the engine, which is 236bhp, combine the Akrapovic exhaust with Ducati Corse Performance Oil.

The Desmosedici engine is paired with a Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG) that positions 'neutral' under the first gear, similar to what's found on MotoGP and factory Superbikes. While the updated V4 R uses the same 81mm bore, it has been equipped with a shorter stroke than the V4 S, 48.4mm versus 53.5mm.

2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R: Features, Electronics

Features-wise, the Panigale V4 R carries over the same 6.9-inch colour TFT dash, but adds a Grip Meter, a race-only feature that graphically displays the level of grip in real-time. Rider aids include a bi-directional quickshifter, cornering ABS, traction control, engine brake control, slide control, wheelie control, power modes, and a dedicated track mode. 

2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R: Hardware

Based on the chassis that has been redesigned to reduce lateral stiffness by 40 per cent (claimed), the V4 R features adjustable Ohlins suspension, 330mm discs, Brembo’s new Hypure callipers, and forged alloy wheels with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres.

2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R: Aerodynamics

Unlike the V4 S, the new Panigale V4 R features race-inspired corner sidepods, helping generate more downforce and ensure a higher level of grip for the tyres. The bike also gets larger winglets, offering up to 6kg downforce at 300km/h.  

2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R: Price, Availability

The Panigale V4 R is scheduled to launch in India in early 2026. It will arrive as a completely built unit, priced above the Rs 70 lakh mark. Upon launch in our market, the 2026 V4 R will rival the BMW M 1000 RR.
