Toyota Hyryder 7 Seater:  A prototype of an SUV was recently spied testing in Ladakh. As per its looks, the prototype looks like the longer, 7-Seater version of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. According to media reports, Toyota and Maruti were planning to launch a 7-seater version of the Hyryder/Grand Vitara, but the plan was later believed to have been scrapped. However, the recently spotted test mule hints that both brands might be planning to launch a 7-seater version of the Toyota Hyryder/Grand Vitara in the country.

Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater: Expected Design

The prototype, expected to be the 7-seater iteration of the Toyota Hyryder/Maruti Grand Vitara, was spotted with heavy camouflage in Ladakh. The overall silhouette of the test mule looks very similar to the five-seater iterations of the Hyryder and the Grand Vitara. The 7-seater Toyota Hyryder is expected to get a connected taillight setup at the rear, along with redesigned bumpers at the front and rear. The upcoming Toyota Hyryder 7-seater is also anticipated to feature larger alloy wheels, a new grille, and new LED DRL signatures.

Toyota Hyryder 7-Seater: Expected Engine

While the Toyota Hyryder 7-seater is expected to come equipped with a slew of new features and design elements, it is expected to retain the powertrain as the 5-seater version of the SUV. We anticipate the 7-Seater Hyryder to draw power from the same 1.5-liter NA mild hybrid engine or the 1.5-liter strong hybrid engine. As per media reports, the rear axle shafts were also spotted on the prototype, hinting that the Toyota Hyryder 7-seater might come equipped with the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configuration.
