Kia Sonet 2027 Facelift: Kia, the South Korean car manufacturer, has begun testing of the next-generation Kia Sonet. The prototype of the 2027 Kia Sonet was recently spied in India for the first time. The Kia Sonet was introduced in India in 2020, and it has remained one of the key volume drivers for the brand in the country ever since. Let’s take a look at what can be expected from the upcoming Kia Sonet 2027 facelift in terms of design, features, and engine specs.
2027 Kia Sonet: A New Platform
The test mule of the next-generation Kia Sonet was heavily disguised when it was spied. However, the spy shots of the prototype reveal several key design components of the upcoming SUV. The new Kia Sonet will be based on the brand’s K1 platform, which is also used in the recently launched Kia Syros. The new platform is expected to equip the SUV with better connected car features and enhanced safety. The platform is also expected to improve space inside the cabin.

2027 Kia Sonet: Expected Features
As mentioned earlier, the use of the new K1 platform in the 2027 Kia Sonet is expected to equip the SUV with advanced features. The Kia Sonet is expected to feature a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen with a similarly sized fully digital instrument cluster. The SUV is also expected to feature a Level 2 ADAS suite, which will be an upgrade from the Level 1 ADAS features offered with the current generation.

2027 Kia Sonet: Expected Engine
While it is expected to feature a distinct design and enhanced features, the Kia Sonet will likely remain unchanged in terms of powertrain. The 2027 Kia Sonet is expected to be powered by the same engine options as a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The brand is also expected to add a new Hybrid engine to the Kia Sonet lineup with the launch of the Kia Sonet 2027 facelift.
