2027 Toyota Highlander: The Toyota Highlander is one of the most popular SUV nameplates globally. The brand recently revealed the 2027 iteration of the Toyota Highlander, and it marks the debut of the brand’s first-ever all-electric 7-seater SUV. The all-electric Highlander will be manufactured at the brand’s Kentucky-based facility in the US. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and powertrain of the 2027 Toyota Highlander EV.
2027 Toyota Highlander EV: Design
The 2027 Toyota Highlander features the brand’s modern hammerhead design language. At the front, it gets slim LED DRLs with turn signals placed on the corners, and a connecting LED light bar. The lights are incorporated into an all-black, vertically placed housing, and air intakes are placed low on the bumper to enhance the battery cooling. It also gets a subtle silver bash plate at the front. On the sides, it gets squared-wheel arches, and the charging port is placed on the right side. The ORVMs are finished in gloss black, and the flush door handles are also visible on the sides. At the rear, it gets a connecting LED taillight setup with integrated turn signals, a shark fin antenna, and red reflectors low on the bumpers.

2027 Toyota Highlander EV: Features
Inside the cabin, the 2027 Toyota Highlander EV features a white and black dual-tone theme. It also gets a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, and a 14-inch touchscreen placed in the centre. It also gets a 12.3-inch fully digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, and an optional panoramic sunroof.

2027 Toyota Highlander EV: Range & Battery
The 2027 Toyota Highlander EV will be offered in a total of two variants: the XLE and the Limited Trims. The XLE trims will be offered in a Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) and an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) configuration. While the FWD will come equipped with a 77 kWh battery and a claimed range of up to 462 kilometres, the AWD variant can cover a maximum distance of 515 Km with a larger 95.8 kWh battery pack. Notably, the AWD variant will also be offered with a 77 kWh battery pack, and it will have around 435 Km of range for the pack. The Limited trims will be offered exclusively with the 95.8 kWh battery pack, AWD, and a claimed range of 515 Km.
