Airless Tyres Price In India:  The Indian Automobile Industry is changing rapidly, and the tyre technology is also witnessing a swift change. The Airless Tyres can be called the ‘New Revolution’ in the industry, as they are expected to provide puncture-proof mobility in the future. But most people are still not aware of the airless tyres. Let’s take a look at the functioning of the airless tyres, along with their pros and cons.

Airless Tyres: How Do They Work?

The airless tyres are different from traditional tubeless tyres that use air/nitrogen. Airless tyres have rubber spokes and belts, which provide the tyre with strength and shape. The airless tyres don’t require air/nitrogen, and as there is no air or gas inside the tyres, they don’t have a risk of a blast or a puncture. The tyres simply run over any object smoothly, as the spokes/belt inside the tyre take the shape of the object.

Airless Tyres: Price & Maintenance

As informed above, the Airless tyres don’t need any air or gas to work. Therefore, they lack the risk of a puncture or blast, and thus, the airless tyres have zero maintenance cost. The airless tyres also don’t need to be checked for air pressure, and they are suitable for long drives and off-road conditions. The airless tyres are still not widely available for most of the vehicles in the country, and currently, they are priced on the premium side. While the normal tubeless tyres are priced between Rs 1,500 to Rs 7,000, the Airless tyres are priced between Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000.

Airless Tyres: Pros & Cons

While the airless tyres have many pros, such as no risk of puncture, zero maintenance, and enhanced durability, they also have some cons. The airless tyres are more suitable for long drives, but the ride quality remains on the bouncy side. The airless tyres need more drag to be moved, and thus, they can also result in reduced mileage. It should be noted that the Airless tyres have higher contact with the road, which results in higher vibrations.
