Tata Sierra 2025: Tata Sierra has remained one of the most admired nameplates offered by the brand in the country. The Tata Sierra was originally launched in 1991, and it was later discontinued in 2003. Now, the brand is bringing back its popular nameplate with a modern design and advanced features. The Tata Sierra 2025 is all set to be launched on November 25, 2025. The Sierra 2025 will feature a petrol, a diesel, and an electric powertrain. Let’s take a look at the expected powertrain of the upcoming Tata Sierra 2025.
Tata Sierra 2025: Expected Petrol Engine
The Sierra 2025 will feature the brand’s new 1.5-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine. This petrol mill was showcased by the brand for the first time at the Auto Expo 2023. The brand will offer the same engine with the upcoming Tata Safari and Tata Harrier, and both of these SUVs are set to be launched in December 2025. The Engine is expected to generate a peak power of up to 170 bhp, while the expected torque figure stands at 280 Nm.

Tata Sierra 2025: Expected Diesel Engine
The Tata Sierra 2025 will also come equipped with a choice of a diesel engine. The diesel mill on the Sierra 2025 will be the same unit as, offered in the Tata Safari and Tata Harrier. The Sierra is expected to feature a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, which generates a peak power and torque output of 168 bhp and 350 Nm, respectively.

Tata Sierra 2025: Expected Electric Powertrain
It has been confirmed that the upcoming Tata Sierra will also be offered in an electric powertrain. However, the brand has not yet confirmed technical details of the electric powertrain on the Sierra 2025. We expect the Tata Sierra 2025 to be based on the Activ.e platform of the brand. The platform also offers an All-Wheel Drive capability, and we expect the Sierra 2025 to be available with two battery pack options: a 45 kWh battery with a claimed range of 450 Km, and a 55 kWh battery with a claimed range of 550 km, once fully charged.
