The updated Apple CarPlay emphasises on customisation, making use of the multiple screens found in most modern vehicles. Apple aims to create a seamless and integrated experience that aligns with each automaker’s brand. To achieve this, Apple is working closely with automakers to ensure that the new CarPlay can include various “dynamic content” areas specifically for each manufacturer’s needs.

The new Apple CarPlay system offers several personalisation options. Apple CarPlay Human Interface Designer Ben Crick highlighted that users can customise everything to suit their preferences. The platform’s scalability allows it to adapt to different screen sizes and layouts, making it more versatile. Beyond entertainment and navigation, the new CarPlay is designed to integrate with various vehicle systems, including climate control, drive modes, driver-assist features and camera controls.
