Aprilia RS 457 vs Yamaha R3: Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Yamaha launched the highly awaited Yamaha R3 for the Indian market on Friday. In other news, Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia launched the RS 457 at the India Bike Week 2023. Both these motorcycles are from different segments as one is equipped with a 320 cc engine while the other features a 450 cc engine. However, once they are seen around on the Indian roads, they will be compared because of the similarity in the price tags as they are both available within the price range of Rs 4 lakh to Rs 5 lakh. So let's quickly compare two new offerings by Yamaha and Aprilia for interested customers.

Aprilia RS 457
Price - The Aprilia RS 457 will be locally manufactured in India and is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 4.10 lakh, making it the most affordable Aprilia offering in the country.
Engine Specs - The RS 457 is powered by a liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that is capable of producing a power output of 47.6 bhp and 43.5 Nm of torque. It is paired with a six-speed transmission and a slipper clutch.
Features - Talking about the features, the RS 457 boasts features like engine maps, traction control, ABS, an anti-roll system, three riding modes and a five-inch TFT display.
Yamaha R3
Price - Yamaha will be bringing the R3 to India via the CBU route, therefore, it has been priced at Rs 4.65 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine Specs - The Yamaha R3 is equipped with a 321 cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that generates a power output of 42 bhp and 29.6 Nm of torque and it is paired to a six-speed gearbox unit.
Features - The Yamaha R3 misses out on advanced features such as traction control, riding modes or Bluetooth connectivity. However, it gets a dual-channel ABS, all LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster that displays basic bike related information.
