Aston Martin DB12 Launch: British carmaker Aston Martin on Friday launched the much-anticipated DB12, equipped with a powerful 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine at a whopping Rs 4.59 crore. The successor to one of the best Aston Martins, the DB11, the all-new DB12 boasts a significant upgrade from its predecessor. The DB12 is one of Aston Martin’s best offerings in the GT lineup and offers three drive modes - GT, Sports and Sports+.
Aston Martin DB12 - Appearance
In terms of design, the Aston Martin DB12 looks distinguishable from its predecessor as it features a bigger grille, new teardrop LED headlights, frameless wing mirrors, chrome-coated exhaust tips, C-shaped LED taillights at the back and hidden flush door handles that enhance the aerodynamics of the DB12. The DB12 also sports new 21-inch forged alloy wheels covered in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S tyres.

Aston Martin DB12 - Cabin
When you step inside, the DB12 boasts two 10.25 inch touchscreen displays - a multifunctional MID and an infotainment screen. Additional notable features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and over-the-air (OTA) update capabilities. The dashboard and upholstery of the car is covered in plus leather with Alcantara lining and carbon fibre work on the centre console.
Aston Martin DB12 - Performance
Aston Martin DB12 is powered by a Mercedes-AMG sourced V8 twin-turbo engine that churns out a power output of 671 bhp and 800 Nm of torque paired with a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. Compared to its predecessor, the V8-powered DB11, the new DB12 boasts a substantial power and torque boost, with an impressive increase of 168 bhp and 125 Nm. Additionally, it outperforms the V12-powered DB11 variant also in terms of power output. The DB12 can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 325 km/h.
Aston Martin DB12 - Additional Details
The DB12 features Aston Martin's latest adaptive dampers and stiffer anti-roll bars, along with an electronic rear differential that can go from fully open to locked with a fraction of a second. Braking is handled by 400mm front cast iron discs and 360mm rear discs and carbon ceramic brakes will be available as an optional upgrade for those seeking better braking performance.

The Aston Martin DB12 comes with a price tag of Rs 4.59 crore excluding customization costs, putting it in competition with rivals like the Ferrari Roma and Bentley Continental GT.
