Ather Rizta Bookings Open: Ather Energy, a renowned name in the electric two-wheeler market of India, is gearing up to unveil its family scooter, known as the Rizta, on April 6. Ahead of the official launch, the electric two-wheeler manufacturer has commenced pre-bookings for the Rizta. The Ather Rizta can be booked by paying a fully refundable token amount of Rs 999, through its official website.

Before the launch, Ather has teased some key features of the Rizta, revealing that it will boast a spacious seat, touted to be the largest in its segment and all-LED lighting. Additionally, the scooter will be equipped with a touchscreen as the driver's instrument cluster, likely to incorporate Google Maps, the latest iteration of the Ather Stack user interface and over-the-air (OTA) updates will also be available. Previously, Ather has shared another teaser where the Rizta has demonstrated resilience while navigating through flooded areas without compromising any critical components. Another previous teaser showcased the Rizta's battery successfully undergoing a 40-ft. drop test, underscoring its durability.
In all these teasers, the Ather Rizta’s test mule has been heavily camouflaged, however, notable features such as a telescopic front fork, a wide front tire and expanded rearview mirrors can be seen. It is expected that the Rizta will introduce several innovative features to the segment, although specific details remain undisclosed by the manufacturer.
Ather Rizta will be built on a new platform larger than the 450 Series, the Rizta promises increased dimensions, resulting in enhanced practicality. Notably, the scooter will incorporate a traditional key, facilitating a smoother transition for customers that are used to conventional internal-combustion engine scooters.
Ather Energy has emphasised the Rizta's commitment to elevating comfort and safety standards. In a social media post, Tarun Mehta, CEO of Ather Energy said, “With Rizta, we will be taking a big leap in comfort and safety. Our teams have been working on this for a while (this one has been on and off the table since 2019!) now and have pulled off some amazing integrations that are industry-first and will make your ride experience way better. Rizta will also continue to maintain the same quality and reliability that Ather's other products are known for.”
