Bajaj CNG-Powered Motorcycle: Bajaj Auto, a leading motorcycle manufacturer is gearing up to introduce a CNG-powered motorcycle. Previously, Bajaj Auto had stated this unique CNG-powered motorcycle is expected to be launched in India in 2025. However, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, Rajiv Bajaj revealed that the company has reduced the timeline, aiming for a launch as early as the next quarter.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Bajaj emphasised the motorcycle's purpose of reducing running costs and tailpipe emissions. He compared the potential impact of the CNG motorcycle to Hero Honda, suggesting that it could halve the cost of fuel. According to Bajaj, the CNG prototype showed a significant reduction in CO2, Carbon Monoxide, and non-methane hydrocarbon emissions, along with a 50-65 per cent decrease in fuel and operating costs.
