BMW F 450 GS Bookings: Select dealers of BMW Motorrad have begun accepting unofficial bookings for the much-anticipated BMW F 450 GS adventure bike, which is expected to be launched at the upcoming India Bike Week 2025. The official timeline has yet to be disclosed, though. Depending on the dealership and region, the booking amount varies from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000. The twin-cylinder BMW F 450 GS will be manufactured at TVS' Hosur facility, enabling BMW to price the bike competitively for its introductory period. Post the expiration of the period, BMW could target a price range of Rs 4.50 lakh–Rs 4.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upon launch in India, the new BMW F 450 GS will assume the role of the entry-level model in BMW's GS portfolio, since the G 310 GS had long been discontinued. It will compete against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 390 Adventure, and the Benelli TRK 502.
BMW F 450 GS: Engine, Performance
The F 450 GS draws power from the company's 'smooth-running and characterful' parallel-twin engine with a displacement capacity of 420cc. The engine is tuned to produce 47bhp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm of peak torque at 6,750rpm. For quick upshifts and downshifts, the bike gets a Shift Assistant Pro quickshifter, which is not available on the base variant. BMW's Easy Ride Clutch (ERC), which does away with the need to manually operate a clutch lever while on the fly, is standard on the GS Trophy variant.

BMW F 450 GS: Hardware, Safety Features
BMW's adventure bike utilises a steel tubular frame with the engine as a stressed member. Suspension is taken care of by KYB units with 180mm wheel travel at each end – upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a cast aluminium double-sided swingarm attached to a KYB central spring strut. The rear end is adjustable for spring preload and rebound damping, while the front is adjustable for rebound and compression.
Braking is by a 310mm front disc with a Brembo calliper and a 240mm rear disc with a ByBre calliper. The bike sits on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with tubeless tyres. Other safety bits include Dynamic Brake Control and Dynamic Brake Light. Riders can choose between three ride modes (Rain, Road, Enduro). With the Exclusive variant and above, riders can unlock Enduro Pro.
