Yamaha FZ-Rave: Yamaha has expanded its FZ portfolio with the addition of the new FZ-Rave bike, designed for young riders seeking both thrill and practicality. Available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.17 lakh, the new Yamaha FZ-Rave shares its mechanical components with the FZ and FZ-S models, while carving its own identity with distinct styling.

Yamaha FZ-Rave: Engine, Electronics

Power comes from the same 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which develops 12.2bhp and 13.3Nm of torque through a 5-speed gearbox. The gearbox claims enhanced power delivery, while the engine delivers what the company says is linear acceleration, responsive performance, and unmatched mileage.

For safety, the FZ-Rave sports single-channel ABS, which works with disc brakes at both ends. The bike weighs 136kg (kerb), holds 13 litres of fuel, and features a 790mm seat height and a 165mm ground clearance. It sits on 17-inch wheels with tubeless tyres.

Yamaha FZ-Rave: Styling, Display

What differentiates the FZ-Rave from the other FZ and FZ-S models is its unique styling. The newly launched bike has an LED projector headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank with vents, a minimal tail section, and a compact, upswept silencer. It also boasts red-coloured alloy wheels. Two paint schemes are on offer: Matte Titan and Metallic Black.

The Yamaha FZ-Rave comes with a negative LCD console, allowing you to keep a tab on a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and clock.

Yamaha FZ-Rave: Rivals

Positioned between the FZ-Fi and FZ-S Fi Version 3, the Yamaha FZ-Rave is the third most affordable FZ model in the company's 150cc lineup. It will rival the Bajaj Pulsar 150 and the Honda Unicorn, as well as the TVS Apache RTR 160 in the premium segment.
