BMW M 1000 R Launched In India At Rs 33 Lakh; Check Engine Specs, Design And Features Here

BMW Motorrad has launched the M 1000 R in India with prices starting at Rs 33 lakh for the Standard variant and Rs 38 lakh for the Competition variant. This flagship naked streetfighter can be pre-ordered at authorised dealerships, with deliveries starting in January 2024.

BMW M 1000 R - Design 

Talking about the looks of the M 1000 R, it maintains its aggressive, sporty stance without any body panels. Key design elements include M Winglets and M Carbon wheels, enhancing aerodynamic performance for better cornering and stability. The carbon wheels now feature a shiny lacquer coating that highlights the black carbon fibre structure. Brake ducts are integrated into revised front mudguards to improve airflow around the fork legs and brake callipers. The Competition package available for the standard model offers cosmetic enhancements such as a unique Blackstorm Metallic/M Motorsport colour scheme, M Carbon wheels, M rider footrest, and various M Carbon parts like rear wheel cover, chain guard, front wheel cover, tank covers, and airbox cover with tapes.

BMW M 1000 R - Performance 

The M 1000 R is powered by a 999cc water-cooled inline 4-cylinder engine that generates 209 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and reaches a top speed of 280 km/h. M 1000 R is available with five ride modes: Rain, Road, Dynamic, Race, and Race Pro1-3. It features fully adjustable suspension with 45 mm USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Braking is taken care of by 320 mm twin front discs and a single 220 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.

BMW M 1000 R - Features 

The M 1000 R features a 6.5-inch TFT display, LED lighting, rear USB charging socket, adaptive turning light, electronic cruise control and heated grips. This naked streetfighter also includes technological features like a six-axis IMU enabling functions like throttle control, engine brake, traction control, wheelie control, ABS, and ABS Pro. Additionally, 'Pro Modes' offer Launch Control and pit-lane limiter for race starts and adhering to the speed limit in the pits.
