BSA Gold Star 650 India Launch: Classic Legends, a subsidiary of Mahindra Group, is set to launch the much-anticipated BSA Gold Star 650 in India on August 15, 2024. This event marks the debut of the BSA brand in the Indian market. The BSA Gold Star 650, a modern classic bike was first unveiled globally in 2021. The new Gold Star draws its design inspiration from the original BSA Gold Star bikes of the 1950s and 60s. The Gold Star 650 will be unique in the Indian market as the only 650 cc single-cylinder motorcycle.

BSA Gold Star 650 - Design

Talking about the design of the Gold Star 650, it features a lot of chrome, a round headlamp, a tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, a flat seat and wire-spoked wheels. However, it also incorporates modern elements such as a tubular steel dual cradle frame, 41 mm telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks with 5-step preload adjustability.

BSA Gold Star 650 - Hardware 

In terms of hardware, the Gold Star 650 is equipped with a 320 mm front disc brake and a 255 mm rear disc brake, using Brembo two-piston and single-piston floating callipers respectively. Dual-channel ABS is standard. The bike has a 12-litre fuel tank and weighs 213 kg.

BSA Gold Star 650 - Engine Specs 

Coming to its engine specs, the Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine with four valves and twin spark plugs. The engine produces a power output of 45 bhp and 55 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox that includes a slip and assist clutch.

BSA Gold Star 650 - Rivals 

BSA will be the third classic motorcycle brand to be revived by Classic Legends in India, joining the ranks of Jawa and Yezdi. It will compete with the likes of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, which features a parallel-twin engine.
