BYD Electric Vehicles in India: BYD, which claims to be the world's leading NEV (New Energy Vehicle) manufacturer, has marked a significant milestone, as the brand delivered its 10,000th electric vehicle to a buyer in India. While the figure is nothing compared to 17,298 electric passenger vehicles (Cars+SUVs+sedans+MPVs) sold last month (Vahan data), what is creditable despite that is the fact that it took around three years for BYD to achieve the feat, courtesy of the extended warranty programmes, after-sales services, customer referrals and partnership with Relux Electric for seamless charging operations

BYD currently sells 4 electric vehicles (Atto 3 SUV, Seal sedan, eMax 7 (e6 successor) MPV, and Sealion 7 coupe-SUV), and has a network of 44 dealership outlets across major Indian cities.
