BYD Sealion 7 Price Increase: BYD Sealion 7 is one of the most popular electric SUVs in India. The electric SUV was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, and it has gained traction ever since. BYD India, a subsidiary of BYD, recently announced that the prices of the BYD Sealion 7 electric SUV will be hiked from January 1, 2026.
BYD Sealion 7 Variants And Price Hike
The BYD Sealion 7 is available in two variants in the country. Currently, the Sealion 7 Performance variant has an ex-showroom price of Rs 54.90 lakh, whereas the Sealion 7 Premium costs Rs 48.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has clarified that consumers booking the Sealion 7 on or before December 31, 2025, will continue benefiting from the current ex-showroom prices. The brand has not yet clarified the amount of the hike that the electric SUV will receive from January 1, 2026.

BYD Sealion 7: Features & Range
The BYD Sealion 7 comes equipped with several advanced features, including a 15.6-inch rotatable touchscreen-based infotainment system, electrically powered, ventilated and heated front seats, ambient lighting, a Panoramic sunroof, and more. The electric SUV provides enhanced occupant safety with features such as 11 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS. The BYD Sealion is equipped with an 82.56 kWh battery pack, and while the performance variant has a claimed range of up to 542 kilometres, the premium variant has a claimed range of up to 567 kilometres, once fully charged.
