Ducati Panigale V4R:  The Ducati Panigale V4R has been launched in India at Rs 84.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Panigale V4 R is the latest descendant of a legendary saga that began with the 996R in 2001. The brand claims that the Ducati Panigale V4 R incorporates several features from the world of racing, which no other road-legal bike has used to date. Each Panigale V4 R will be produced in a numbered series, with the model’s name and serial number displayed on the steering plate, which underscores its exclusivity.

Ducati Panigale V4R: Engine

The Ducati Panigale V4 R draws power from the 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, which is capable of reaching a maximum engine speed of 16,500 rpm in the sixth gear. The engine is capable of delivering a maximum power of 218 hp at 15,500 rpm. This can be achieved through new, lighter pistons and a crankshaft with increased inertia. The engine's full potential can be unleashed by fitting the racing exhaust, which allows it to reach 235 hp, rising to an incredible 239 hp with the use of Ducati Corse Performance Oil. The brand claims that with the racing exhaust, the Panigale V4 R can exceed a top speed of 330 km/h, a value previously reserved for MotoGP bikes.

Ducati Panigale V4R: Advanced Tech

The Ducati Panigale V4 R is equipped with the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG), which positions neutral below first gear, and the brand claims that this move eliminates the chance of accidental neutral engagement during aggressive braking and corner entry. The electronics package includes the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), which extends to engine braking control. The brand claims that the bike has a new Race Brake Control, which allows greater use of the rear brake during corner entry, enabling the rider to brake later and harder. The motorcycle also gets a new 6.9” TFT dashboard with a dedicated "Grip Meter" view, which displays the estimated available grip.

Ducati Panigale V4R: Enhanced Aerodynamics

The Ducati Panigale V4R has been made in a close collaboration with Ducati Corse. The Panigale V4 R introduces the new Corner Sidepods, a Ducati innovation from MotoGP. It generates a ‘ground effect’ at high lean angles, increasing tyre grip for higher cornering speeds. These work in conjunction with new, larger wings that increase downforce by 25% compared to the previous model, enhancing stability and precision at high speeds. The chassis is built around the "Front Frame" and a "Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm," developed to maximise the performance of modern slick tyres, improving trajectory-closing, corner-exit traction, and rider feeling.
