Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Unveiled Globally; Will It Launch In India?

Ducati has revealed the all-new Hypermotard 698 Mono globally which is a multi-purpose motorcycle that can be used on various terrains. Though, it's uncertain if Ducati will launch the Hypermotard 698 Mono in the Indian market. 

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono - Performance 

The Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono uses an all-new Ducati developed engine, known as the Superquadro Mono. It is being claimed that the Superquadro Mono is the most potent single-cylinder engine in the segment. The Superquadro Mono is a 659 cc, liquid-cooled engine that generates a maximum power of 76.43 bhp and 62.76 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, Ducati will also provide an A2 version of Superquadro Mono with reduced power and torque outputs.

The Hypermotard 698 Mono gets a 6-speed gearbox for transmission duties and Ducati has designed the gear ratios based on their experience with the Panigale V4. The first gear is longer, which means it can be effectively used in slow corners to make the most of the available power. Additionally, the gearbox can be equipped with the Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) Up & Down system which will enable smooth and quick gear changes without needing to use the clutch.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono - Hardware 

Talking about the hardware on the Hypermotard 698 Mono, it gets fully adjustable 5 mm Marzocchi upside-down forks at the front and fully adjustable Sachs monoshock at the rear. Braking duties on the Hypermotard 698 Mono are taken care of by a 330 mm diameter disc with a Brembo M4.32 4-piston radial caliper at the front and a 240 mm disc at the back.

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono - Features 

The Hypermotard 698 Mono is equipped with electronic features like Ducati Wheelie Control, Ducati Traction Control, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Power Launch. It also gets three riding modes - Sport, Road, Urban and Wet and three power modes - Low, Mid and High.
