Royal Enfield has finally revealed the highly anticipated Himalayan 452 ahead of its launch which is scheduled to take place on November 7, 2023. Additionally, Royal Enfield has also revealed essential information about the upcoming adventure-tourer motorcycle. 

Himalayan 452 - Appearance 

The Himalayan 452 is offered in five different colour options which are divided among its three variants. The base variant is available in a Kaza Brown colour, the mid-spec Pass variant is available in either Slate Himalayan Slat or Slate Poppy Blue and the top-spec Summit variant is available in Kamet White or Hanle Black.

Himalayan 452 - Engine 

The Himalayan 452 will be sourcing its power from the newly developed RE engine that is being called the ‘Sherpa 450’. The Sherpa 450 is a 451.65 cc, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing a power output of 40 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled with a 6-speed transmission and a slip-and-assist clutch. 

Himalayan 452 - Hardware 

Talking about the hardware, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is built on a new twin-spar frame and gets an open-cartridge USD fork at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear that have both been derived from Showa. 200 mm of wheel travel is available at both ends of the Himalayan 452 while it gets 230 mm of ground clearance. It sits on 21/17-inch wire-spoke rims with tyre sizes measuring at 90/90-21 for the front and 140/80-R17 for the rear. The Himalayan 452 is equipped with 320 mm front discs and 270 mm rear discs with standard dual-channel ABS for braking responsibilities. The seat in the Himalayan 452 is positioned between 825 mm and 845 mm of height. There is also an additional lower seat available that reduces the height of the seat between 805 mm and 825 mm. The Himalayan 452 gets a fuel tank with 17-litre capacity and its total kerb weight is 198 kg.

Himalayan 452 - Features 

In terms of features, the Himalayan 452 gets a colour TFT display for the first time ever which also offers bluetooth connectivity. Additionally, the Himalayan 452 is the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to offer three riding modes Eco, Performance (with rear ABS on) and Performance (with rear ABS off). The headlight, taillights and all other lights on the Himalayan are LED.
