Stellantis, the parent company of Jeep, Citroen, Maserati among other prominent auto brands is set to introduce Leapmotor’s global electric vehicle line-up to India. Leapmotor is a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer founded in 2015 and headquartered in Hangzhou. Stellantis acquired a 20% stake of Leapmotor in 2023.

Stellantis has expanded Leapmotor's global presence and introduced its electric vehicles to the European market. Specializing in innovative EVs, the company launched its first vehicles in 2019. Stellantis acquired Leapmotor marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to shaping the future of mobility.

As mentioned by Stellantis in a press statement, with this move, Stellantis continues to bring a new era of smart, sustainable, and accessible electric vehicles to Indian consumers.

In 2024, Leapmotor achieved significant growth, delivering nearly 300,000 vehicles and doubling its sales year-over-years," mentioned Stellantis.

Leapmotor's global product lineup includes a range of electric vehicles designed to meet diverse customer needs. The lineup includes the C10 SUV; the C01 electric sedan; and the T03, a compact city car.
