FASTag Annual Pass:  The Ministry of Road Transport and Highway (MoRTH) launched the FASTag annual pass today. It was announced by the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, in July to reduce congestion on the toll booths present on the National highways and expressways. Let’s take a look at the charges, validity, and step-by-step guide to apply for the FASTag annual pass.

FASTag Annual Pass: Charges & Validity

The FASTag Annual Pass can be availed of by paying a fee of Rs 3000. The pass will work only with private vehicles, and it is not transferable. It is also worth noting that the pass will not work on the highways or expressways operated by the state government. Once activated, the pass will remain active for one year or 200 trips, whichever comes first. The FASTag annual pass can be activated using the NHAI website or the Rajmarg Yatra app.

FASTag Annual Pass: How To Apply?

You can easily apply for the FASTag Annual Pass by following the steps below:

Step 1: Install the Rajmarg Yatra app from the Google Play Store or the Apple app Store.

Step 2: Navigate to the FASTag Annual Pass tab given in the app and click on it.

Step 3: After clicking, you will be redirected to a new page. Keep your vehicle registration number handy.

Step 4: Enter your vehicle’s details, following which an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the OTP, and you will be redirected to the payment page.

Step 6: Enter your UPI/Debit Card/Credit Card details and complete the payment. The FASTag annual pass will get activated within 2 hours after the payment is made.
