American automobile giant Ford Motors is reportedly gearing up to enter the Indian automotive market. These speculations are being fueled as the new-generation Ford Endeavour SUV, known as the Everest in some markets, has been spotted in India, in Chennai for the first time. The model spotted is the Ford Everest Trend, serving as the entry-level variant in countries such as Thailand and Australia.

New-Gen Ford Endeavour Launch In India
Talking about the launch of the Ford Endeavour SUV in India, there is a possibility that this popular Ford SUV model could arrive sooner than expected, possibly before 2025. Ford might import CBU units to India initially, avoiding the immediate need for local assembly and then using Ford's Chennai plant to lay the groundwork for future production. Given that the previous Endeavour shares some components with the new model, revamping the factory should be an easy process.
New-Gen Ford Endeavour Price In India
Despite the potential for the new Endeavour to be imported as a completely built-up (CBU) unit, Ford is committed to maintaining competitive pricing for the SUV, particularly in comparison to its primary competitor, the Toyota Fortuner. The Fortuner's top variants are currently priced at approximately Rs 60 lakh in certain states. It can be anticipated that Ford will be pricing the Endeavour SUV slightly less than this price range.

New-Gen Ford Endeavour - Powertrain & Features
In various international markets, the Ford Everest provides a variety of diesel engine options, ranging from 2.0 to 3.0-litres, alongside 4x2 and 4x4 powertrain configurations available on specific variants. It showcases advanced safety and technology features, including infotainment and instrument screens measuring up to 12.4 inches, complemented by nine airbags in the top-tier variants.
