Majority of the population in India own two-wheelers as they are a more viable and economical alternative for daily commuting and transportation. People also pick two-wheelers over regular cars because they offer better fuel efficiency. Now, two-wheelers have again grabbed the attention of enthusiasts with the introduction of electric two-wheelers. Numerous electric scooters and bikes are now available in the Indian market for buyers as per their preference and suitability. Here’s a list of some of the best electric scooters available in India that are affordable and offer reliable performance. All prices mentioned are ex-showroom and inclusive of the FAME subsidy. 

Ola S1 Pro 

Price - The S1 Pro is available in one variant only that is priced at Rs 1.39 lakh. 

Performance - The Ola S1 Pro derives its power from an IPM motor and a 4 kWh battery pack. This battery pack delivers an ARAI certified driving range of 181 km and takes almost 6.5 hours to charge fully. This e-scooter can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 116 km/h.

TVS iQube

Price - The TVS iQube is currently available in two variants: the standard iQube and the iQube S that are priced at Rs 1.34 lakh and Rs 1.49 lakh respectively. 

Performance - Both these variants of the TVS iQube are equipped with a 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery pack that delivers a claimed driving range of 100 km and takes around 4.5 hours to charge completely. Both these variants can achieve a top-speed of 78 km/h and can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 4.2 seconds. 

Okaya Faast

Price - The Okaya Faast is available in two variants - Faast 3 and Faast 4 which are priced at Rs 1.24 lakh and Rs 1.33 lakh respectively. 

Performance - Both the variants of the Okaya Faast - Faast 3 and Faast 4 are equipped with a 4.4kWh and a  3.5kWh battery pack respectively. The battery pack on the Faast 4 offers an estimated driving range of 140 to 160 km. Okaya claims that its Faast model can achieve a top-speed of 65-75 km/h.

Ather 450X

Price - The Ather 450X is available in two variants with the entry level model priced at Rs 98,079 and the top-spec model priced at Rs 1.28 lakh. 

Performance - The Ather 450X offers two battery pack options - a 2.9kWh and a 3.7kWh battery. Both these battery packs offer a claimed driving range of 111 km and 146 km respectively. The Ather 450X can achieve a top-speed of 90 km/h and can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds.

Bajaj Chetak 

Price - The Bajaj Chetak is available at a price tag of Rs 1.41 lakh. 

Performance - The Bajaj Chetak is powered by a DC motor and a 2.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack that offer a claimed driving range of 108 km. The Bajaj Chetak can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 63 km/h.
