Genesis Unveils GV80 Coupe-SUV With Turbocharged V6-48V Electric Supercharger Engine; Read Design, Interior Details And Specs Here

Hyundai Motor Company has revealed the new Genesis GV80 Coupe which is the brand’s first-ever Coupe SUV. Genesis is a luxury vehicle division of the Hyundai Motor Company. Previously, the brand had revealed their flagship offering, the GV80 SUV and now along with the GV80 Coupe, they have also revealed the facelift of the GV80 SUV. 

GV80 Coupe - Appearance 

The GV80 Coupe combines SUV practicality with a coupe's sporty ability while preserving the core model's aesthetics and performance. At the front, the Coupe SUV mostly retains the appearance of the standard version with some differences like a subtly revised skid plate and extra slits beneath the grille. Other exterior features include an expanded air intake, an Active Air Flap, and four air vents enhancing engine cooling. Further, the Coupe offers exclusive 20 and 22-inch wheels with distinctive spoke designs.

The GV80 Coupe differs from its concept version as it does not have the full-width LED tail lights. It features an aerodynamic roofline that ends with an integrated duck-tail rear spoiler. Notably, the rear bumper features a unique design which is accentuated by black trim surrounding the diffuser and quad exhaust pipes that distinguishes it apart from the standard GV80.

GV80 Coupe - Interior 

On the inside, the interior is new and has been designed specifically for the new GV80 Coupe. Notable interior features include a two-tone D-cut steering wheel, carbon garnish patterns and a 27-inch OLED display that integrates the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster. The brake and accelerator pedals in the new model incorporate metal accents for better driving grip and high-performance responsiveness. Moreover, the rear seats are now equipped with a reclining feature aimed at enhancing passenger comfort. Customers will have an option of six interior packages, allowing them to modify the interior of the GV80 Coupe as per their personal preference.

GV80 Coupe - Performance 

The GV80 Coupe and GV80 SUV, both offer two engine options: a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine delivering 296 bhp and 422 Nm of torque and a turbocharged 3.5-litre V6 engine that delivers 370bhp and 530 Nm of torque. Additionally, the GV80 Coupe offers one more engine option 3.5-liter V6 engine with a 48V electric supercharger. This configuration delivers a power output of 403 bhp and 549 Nm of torque. The GV80 Coupe also introduces exclusive features like a "Sports+" driving mode, Launch Control, and a cluster displaying important information such as oil temperature, torque, turbo pressure, and more.
