Hero Mavrick 440 Discontinued:  Hero Motocorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer brand, has pulled the plug on the most premium motorcycle offered by the brand in India: the Mavrick 440. The naked street bike received positive feedback from the riders and critics; however, it failed to perform well in terms of sales.

Hero Mavrick 440 Discontinued: Bookings Stopped

As per sales data, the bike was not receiving positive sales, and only a single digit or zero units of the product were sold by the brand in the past few months. This ultimately led to the discontinuation of the brand’s most premium bike in the country. The bike has not been delisted from the brand’s official website. But as per several reports, some dealerships have stopped taking bookings for the bike.

Hero Mavrick 440: Specs

The Hero Mavrick 440 was based on the Harley-Davidson X440, and its discontinuation opens better opportunities for the latter. It is worth noting that the brand had to discontinue the Mavrick 440 within just 18 months of its introduction in the country. The Hero Mavrick 440 was powered by a single-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. The engine was capable of churning out a peak power and torque output of 27 bhp and 36 Nm, respectively.
