Hero MotoCorp’s decision to raise prices shows the difficulties the automotive industry faces with rising costs while trying to keep prices competitive and hold onto their market share. As the company makes these changes, it remains to be seen how the price hike will affect its sales and market position in the coming months. The Indian two-wheeler market is very sensitive to price changes. Recently, the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations of India (FADA) predicted that a good monsoon season could increase demand in rural areas, which would help the two-wheeler market. However, FADA also pointed out some challenges, like supply issues and not enough strong marketing from manufacturers.
