Honda CB350 vs Royal Enfield Classic 350: Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) recently launched the Honda CB350. It is the third 350 cc motorcycle from Honda this year after the launch of the Honda H'ness CB350 and the Honda CB350RS. The Honda CB350 competes with other 350cc motorcycles in the market like Jawa, Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Benelli Imperiale 400. Here’s a look at the detailed comparison of the prices, engine specs and hardware of the Honda CB350 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. 

Honda CB350 

Price - The newly launched Honda CB350 is offered in two variants - CB350 DLX and CB350 DLX Pro. The CB350 DLX is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 lakh and the CB350 DLX Pro is available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 2.17 lakh.

Engine Specs - The Honda CB350 shares the same engine as the H'ness CB350 and the CB350RS. It is equipped with a 348.36 cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, PGM-FI engine that delivers 20.78 bhp of power and 29.4 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. 

Hardware - In terms of hardware, it is equipped with telescopic forks at the front and twin nitrogen-charged shock absorbers at the rear. The braking system includes a 310 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, both supported by dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety.

Royal Enfield Classic 350 

Price - The RE Classic 350 is available in six variants in India with prices ranging from Rs 1.93 lakh to Rs 2.25 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine Specs - The Classic 350 is built on Royal Enfield’s new J platform and is powered by a 349cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine that churns a power output of 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox unit. 

Hardware - Talking about the hardware on the RE Classic 350, it gets 41mm telescopic fork at the front and 6-step preload-adjustable twin shocks at the rear. Braking is handled by a 300 mm disc at the front and 270mm disc or a 153mm drum at the rear, as per the variant. There is also an additional feature of single or dual-channel ABS which varies across variants.
