Honda Cars that are currently being sold in India will see a hike in their prices from September. The all-new Honda City, which was launched earlier this year, and the Amaze sub-compact model will cost more starting next month. The Japanese automaker claims that they were compelled to raise pricing in order to make up for increased manufacturing expenses for these two models. Honda exclusively offers only two sedans for sale right now in India.

Honda has not specified and is still debating the size of the price increase. "We have been trying to absorb accumulated cost pressures as much as possible. We will carry out a price revision on City and Amaze from September to partially offset the impact of increasing input costs." Kunal Behl, Vice President (Sales and Marketing) of Honda Cars India, said, as quoted by PTI.
