Hyundai Creta EV - Design & Interiors
The spotted images of the Hyundai Creta EV have revealed that the electric SUV will incorporate headlights and tail-lights from the recently launched Creta facelift. It will also showcase a noticeable similarity in overall silhouette. However, distinctive features on the Creta EV include a closed-off 'grille' with a potential nose-mounted charging port, resembling the Kona Electric. Additionally, the spy shots also confirm the presence of new aerodynamically efficient alloy wheels, possibly 17-inch units. While the interior is anticipated to share similarities with the facelift, certain elements might be inspired by the Ioniq 5.
Hyundai Creta EV - Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be equipped with a 45kWh battery pack. Despite being equipped with a slightly smaller battery pack compared to rivals such as the MG ZS EV, the Creta EV is expected to offer a real-world range of around 250 km on a single charge. The electric motor will be borrowed from the latest-gen Kona Electric model. This motor will be a single, front-axle-mounted unit that is capable of generating a power output of 138 bhp and 255 Nm of torque. Post the launch of the Hyundai Creta EV, it will be Hyundai India’s third electric model in the country after the Ioniq 5 and the Kona Electric.
