South Korean automaker Hyundai India recently unveiled the facelift of its most popular mid-size SUV model, the Hyundai Creta. Hyundai India has announced that the 2024 Creta facelift will be launched for all global markets on January 16. Ahead of its launch, the automaker has revealed details about the car such as its exterior design, interiors and features. Prices for the Hyundai Creta facelift will be revealed at its official launch which is scheduled in the upcoming week. Post its launch, the Creta facelift will compete with other models in the mid-size SUV segment such as Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun. Lets take a look at the comparison of Hyundai Creta with its sibling counterpart, the Kia Seltos.
Hyundai Creta
Engine Specs - Talking about the engine specs of the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift, it will be offered with three engine options - a 1.5-litre petrol engine, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.5-litre petrol engine generates 113 bhp and 144 Nm torque, the turbocharged petrol engine produces 157 bhp and 253 Nm torque and the 1.5-litre diesel engine generates 113 bhp and 250 Nm torque. It will be available with four transmission options - ix-speed manual, an IVT, a seven-speed DCT and a six-speed automatic unit.
Features - Only images of the interior of the upcoming Creta facelift have been revealed so a comprehensive list of the features is not known yet. However, from the revealed images we can decipher that it will be equipped with two 10.25-inch displays for both the instrument cluster and infotainment system, a new touchscreen unit for the climate control system and the passenger side AC vent is now a horizontal strip across the dashboard.

Kia Seltos
Engine Specs - Talking about the engine specs, the Kia Seltos is available with the same engine options as the Hyundai Creta because they are both developed by the sister companies Hyundai and Kia. The engine options are the same, a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and 1.5-litre diesel engine. All these engines churn the exact same power output and torque as the Creta facelift.
Features - The Kia Seltos is equipped with some advanced features such as dual 10.25-inch displays for infotainment system and instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, air purifier, ambient lighting, LED sound mood lighting, heads-up display and ventilated front seats.
As per the general opinion, both the cars are almost identical when it comes to comparing the engine specifications and the features of the Creta and the Seltos. The exterior design and styling elements have also been aligned to make the two look alike to each other. Apart from this, both the brands offer a similar set of safety features such as standard 6 airbags, ESC, HAC, TPMS, a 360-degree camera and Level 2 ADAS functionalities like lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning and adaptive cruise control.
