Tata Motors recently unveiled the Punch.ev for the Indian market and as reported earlier, the new electric SUV is set to be launched on January 17. The Punch EV resembles the standard Punch SUV but due to its electric nature, it features EV specific elements as well. One noticeable change is at the front, it doesn't get a grille because it doesn't need it for cooling. Instead, there's a cool LED light strip along the edge of the hood that also works as daytime running lights. The headlights and the front bumper have also been changed to make the Punch EV stand out from the regular Punch SUV.

The Tata Punch EV is likely to offer a driving range of about 300 km on just one charge. However, specific details about its powertrain have not been disclosed yet. The Tata Punch EV will be available in two different variants - Punch.ev and Punch.ev Long Range. Additionally, it is expected that it will come with a 3.3 kW wall box charger and in the Long Range variant, you'll get an even faster 7.2 kW home charger. Moreover, the upcoming Tata Punch EV will be offered in five main trim levels - Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+
