This popular hatchback of Hyundai directly competes with the Maruti Suzuki Baleno in this segment. Both the i20 and the Baleno are a preferred choice by the people because of their good performance, advanced features and while also being affordable. Prices

The new Hyundai i20 comes at a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh that goes up toRs 11.01 lakh (ex-showroom). The Maruti Suzuki Baleno’s price ranges from Rs 6.61 lakh to Rs 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai i20 - In terms of features, the updated Hyundai i20 boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, a premium 7-speaker Bose sound system, a wireless phone charger, a single-pane sunroof, automatic climate control, a Type-C charging port, cruise control, and an extensive array of over 60 connected features.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno - Notable features of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno are a 9.0-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, along with support for Amazon Alexa. It offers a semi-digital cluster, voice command functionality, 'Suzuki Connect' connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, auto-dimming IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror), automatic climate control and automatic LED headlights.

Engine

In terms of engine, the Hyundai i20 offers a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA VTVT petrol engine that generates 83 bhp and 115 Nm of torque. This engine is available with a choice of either a 5-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission, whereas the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is equipped with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, NA K-series petrol engine that delivers 90 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. Transmission options for the Baleno include a 5-speed manual or an AMT gearbox.
