Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift Revealed Globally: South Korean automobile giant Hyundai Motor Co is revamping its Ioniq 5 EV and will first launch the updated model in South Korea and then expand to other regions. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV facelift features a slightly updated grille, reshaped bumpers, and a rear wiper. In addition, Hyundai is introducing an N Line variant, which will include a sportier body kit without any added performance enhancements. The new Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 5 N Line models will first be available in South Korea this month. Both the models are expected to be launched in significant international markets later this year.
2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift - Exterior Design
Talking about the exterior design, the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a slightly longer body due to redesigned bumpers, while maintaining the same width, height and wheelbase. The rear spoiler is now 50mm wider and there are new wheel designs available. The N Line variant features distinctive bumpers, side skirts, and 20-inch rims with a unique design, distinguished by "fangs" at the front and an "N Line" badge on the grille.
2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift - Interior
Moving inside the 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5, the manufacturer has enhanced the interior of the premium EV by adding more buttons for easy access to frequently used features such as ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel and parking assist. The wireless charging pad is now conveniently located next to the vertical cup holders. Furthermore, Hyundai has redesigned the climate control buttons on the dashboard and introduced interactive pixel lights on the steering wheel. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 facelift features an updated infotainment system with over-the-air updates, improved safety technology, reinforced doors and B-pillars.

2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift - Performance
In terms of performance, Hyundai has enhanced the Ioniq 5 by modifying the dampers to reduce steering wheel vibrations and doubling reinforcements at the rear and underbody to minimise noise. The rear motor now includes additional sound insulation to create a quieter cabin environment. Additionally, the Ioniq 5 now comes with an upgraded 84kWh battery pack, an increase from the previous 77.4kWh pack found in the Ioniq 5 N.
