Hyundai Venue 2025 Safety Features: Hyundai recently launched its new-generation Venue compact SUV in India. With a new design and additional features, the 2025 Hyundai Venue ranges from Rs 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level H2 variant. At its starting price, the new Venue is around Rs 58,000 more expensive than the base-spec Tata Nexon, which starts at Rs 7.32 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata recently updated the Nexon with an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) suite, which brings active safety features at an additional Rs 27,000. We compare the newly launched Hyundai Venue with the Tata Nexon to find out which SUV is safer:
Hyundai Venue 2025: Safety Features
The 2025 iteration of the Venue features a Level 2 ADAS suite, a step up from Level 1 ADAS. The updated ADAS suite introduces features such as forward collision avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, cruise control, and rear parking collision avoidance assist.
As standard, the updated Venue gets ESC, hill start assist, electric parking brake (with auto hold), a tyre-pressure monitor, all four disc brakes, three-point seatbelts with reminders for all, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera (H10 only). It is also available with three traction control modes – Sand, Mud, and Snow – that can be managed through a rotary dial on the centre console.

Tata Nexon: Safety Features
The Tata Nexon is also equipped with Level 2 ADAS features, including autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition. While that is optional, all variants of the Nexon come with six airbags, ESP, hill start assist, seatbelt reminders, rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX mounts. Having said that, a tyre pressure monitor and a 360-degree camera are offered on select variants. Compared to the Venue's electric parking brake with the auto hold function, the Nexon gets a manual handbrake lever. The Nexon also does not offer traction control modes.
Hyundai Venue 2025 Vs Tata Nexon: Which is Safer?
Judging by their comparison, the new Hyundai Venue is clearly the winner, bringing more safety features than the Nexon. The Nexon, however, is the only compact SUV to have been awarded a perfect 5-star rating from both Global NCAP and Bharat NCAP. The updated Venue has yet to be rated.
