The flagship models, AI-10 and AI-14, under the Airlite Series, have emerged as the world’s lightest homologated motorcycle helmets. IGNYTE Airlite Series: How Light Are They?

The Airlite series of motorcycle helmets by Steelbird weighs 900 grams (ECE) and 800 grams (DOT). Each helmet in the Airlite series has been manufactured by using the proprietary balloon moulding technology and features a multi-impact Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) liner. Airlite’s ultra-light fiberglass composite shell is developed through advanced balloon moulding technology, which ensures controlled resin distribution and uniform thickness across the surface, enhancing the overall strength of the helmet.

The multi-layered EPP liner absorbs and disperses energy efficiently, rebounds after impact, and provides lasting multi-impact protection, which is a significant upgrade from traditional EPS liners. The helmets are available with both Double D-Ring and Micrometric Buckle retention systems, offering riders the choice of professional-grade security and everyday convenience. The Airlite series of helmets features a premium interior made from imported, anti-allergenic fabric that is both replaceable and washable. The optical-grade polycarbonate visor offers distortion-free visibility, scratch resistance, and UV protection for superior clarity on every ride.

IGNYTE Airlite Series: Prices

The IGNYTE Airlite AI-10 and AI-14 will be available in multiple variants and finishes, catering to diverse certification and performance needs. The AI-10E (ISI + ECE 22.06) is priced at ₹6,659, while the AI-14E (ISI + ECE 22.06) is available at ₹6,999. The AI-10 (ISI + DOT) variant is priced at ₹6,649, and the AI-14 (ISI + DOT) at ₹6,859.
